GADGET: 1) a small mechanical device or appliance or 2) any object that is interesting for its ingenuity or novelty rather than for its practical use.
When I saw that the subject of this week’s Friday Club was gadgets, I couldn’t wait to tell you all about my favourite ones but then I decided to tell my gadgets how much I love them and the reasons why instead 😉
Dear Slow Cooker
You’re awesome, I love being able to fill you up on a morning and know that by the time I get home in the afternoon you will have filled the house with lovely tasty smells and have tea ready to go.
Thanks very much
Domestic Goddess, formerly known as Queen of Ready Meals

Dear Xbox Kinect
I’ll be honest, before Mr Frugal talked me into buying you for the kids I thought you would be a waste of money, but I’m please to admit I was wrong. You’re amazing and even though I will never understand how you work, I definitely love you.
You are an even better babysitter than the Wii was 😉
Yours gratefully, your biggest fan
P.S. I would love you even more if you would just stop taking photos of me when I am least expecting it, I need at least 10 seconds notice to arrange myself in a more flattering position!

Dear Sky Plus
Whoever invented you should be given some sort of award or at the very least a years supply of something yummy. You are the best thing ever – I get to pause Masterchef when the kids start to fight upstairs and to rewind Location, Location, Location when one of them rudely interrupts my TV watching time.
Your lovingly, Mrs Teleaddict

Dear Camera
I love you but you are still a mystery to me – I’d love to know what all your little buttons and settings mean. I look forward to getting to know you better and making lots of lovely memories together.
Yours enthusiastically, Me

Dear DSI’s
I love you both – anything that keeps the kids quiet as well as you do is priceless in my eyes. I only wish that your chargers came with some sort of alert thingy so we could find you when you get lost without having to turn the house upside down!
Lots of love, mummy who loves peace

Dear Laptop
What can I say? We’ve been through so much together and we’re still going strong. I feel lost without you and even though you’re getting on a bit and not as quick as you once used to be, I promise that I won’t replace you with a younger model (until I absolutely have to ;-))
Love, your devoted owner
P.S. The fact you’re pink makes me love you even more x x

Dear I phone
I love you more than any gadget I have ever loved before. That is all.
Your biggest fan x x
