We’re really looking forward to next week as it’s half term here and we’ve got plans to have a lot of fun as I’m off work too. But it’s important to remember that you don’t have to wait for the school holidays or the weekend to have fun together.
We’ve been trying to take advantage of the hour or so before tea by spending some time together – here’s a few of the things we’ve done lately….

Go for a scooter or a bike ride

Watch a film together under blankets.

Go to the park and play hide and seek together

YouTube isn’t just for watching Minecraft videos – just type in Just Dance and you get all the Just Dance songs with their moves so you can dance along together.

Give the kids a camera and get outside to see the world through their eyes.

Let the kids do some jobs that they wouldn’t normally do – we’ve discovered that Miss Frugal has a love of washing windows.

Go to the park for a play before tea.

Bake some biscuits together.

Go to the beach – it’s fun in all weathers!

Get out in the garden and help them grow something. We now have a small herb garden.
See how much fun you can have without spending a penny!
