Operation Makeover is now officially underway and seeing as I’ve found some lovely bargains this week, I though I’d share them with you as part of Magpie Monday 😉
I managed to find a new first project (after losing out on the lovely sideboard I won on ebay last week) and I think it’s going to look brilliant when it’s done. I’m going to sand it all down as I don’t really like dark wood and then paint it in a creamy colour I think. I might even change the handles on it if I’m feeling really adventurous.
Inspired by Jen, I went on a charity shop hunt for a glass cake stand and was really pleased with this bargain. I put it on the table for a while when I got it home to admire it and when I went back into the kitchenlater on it was filled with apples so I guess it’s been designated as our new fruit bowl for now.
I originally walked past this mirror when I first saw it as the frame was an ugly orangey pine that had definitely seen better days, but when I saw it was only 50p, I decided to buy it and see what I could do with it. I was planning on sanding it and painting it but when I saw how nice the frame looked, even just roughly sanded, I decided to leave it as it is.
