As you probably know, I’m on a mission to make enough money to pay for Christmas and this week’s challenge is to make some money using Dooyoo.
If you’ve never heard of Dooyoo before, it’s a consumer review website who ‘pay’ people who submit reviews to the them. They pay you in ‘dooyoo miles’ and have three different levels of payment depending on what it is that you’re actually reviewing:
Level 1 is the highest paid category and includes things like most things electronic, household appliances, pushchairs and car seats. For a level 1 review in this category, you’ll receive 600 dooyoo miles for posting your review and an extra 20 dooyoo miles for each member who reads your review.
For Level 2 reviews which would include reviews of things like cookbooks, make up and children’s toys you’ll be awarded 300 dooyoo miles when you post your Review and an extra 15 dooyoo miles for every member reading your review.
Level 3 is for reviews in categories that are less popular with people like credit cards, loans and airlines you’ll receive a lower amount of 100 dooyoo miles for your review plus 10 more dooyoo miles for each member who reads it.
You get extra 1500 dooyoo miles for reviews that are rated as outstanding and you also earn an extra 600 dooyoo miles for being the first person to review something and there are most wanted reviews where you can earn 1000 dooyoo miles for a review.
There’s a couple of ways to approach Dooyoo – you can rattle off your reviews and earn your points quickly and easily or you can do more in-depth reviews and spend longer on them but get more crown ratings for the bonus dooyoo miles. Either way you’ll make at least £20 in time for Christmas for not much time and effort.
It’s easy to see how the reviews could rack up the dooyoo miles – 1000 dooyoo miles are equal to £1 and you need 20000 to redeem for a £20 Amazon voucher and 50000 to redeem for cash and it is a genuine site – I used to do this a few years ago but then blogging took over and I forgot all about it but I’ve just had a read through various forums about this and it seems that Dooyoo are still a good way to earn a little extra.
The thing I like about is that you can rate things you already have and bloggers especially can review items in detail as you’re doing it on your blog anyway, although it can’t be duplicated content.
One thing I have seen as I was having a read up about the way that Dooyoo works these days is that Dooyoo seems to have quite community atmosphere between the members and that if someone rates your review as useful, it’s considered good etiquette to go and like something of theirs.
