I’m sure we’ve all seen the extreme couponing stories in the media about people who use discount vouchers and coupons to pay for a big chunk of their grocery shopping. These are people who really take their couponing seriously and fair play to them, they get some great discounts and save a huge amount of money.
Personally, I don’t really have the time or the inclination to search out these coupons and then visit the various different shops necessary to redeem the coupons that I find. Having said that, I do like a money saving opportunity and I certainly don’t mind using coupons or vouchers that I come across to shave a little off my shopping spend.
I have a few different ways to get coupons and vouchers and I’m going to share all but one with you today. I’m currently conducting a bit of an experiment with the other method and I hope to share that with you soon!
Free Supermarket Magazines
Actually, all magazines are worth checking for discount vouchers as advertisers often include a cheeky little money off voucher in their adverts. The reason I say specifically supermarket magazines is that they’re free and they ALWAYS have some vouchers in them for products you can buy in store. This is my main source for finding coupons as I don’t have to do anything other than read magazines that I’d normally read anyway.
Online forums and websites
There are lots of forums and websites set up specifically for people to share voucher codes and places to find printable vouchers but I find the one on MoneySavingExpert to be the easiest to use with the biggest variety of vouchers although I do like Freebie Hunters too. It’s always worth having a quick scan before you do your meal plan each week.
Social Media
I follow lots of brands on Twitter and Facebook and I often see a discount Voucher pop up in my feed. I’m also signed up to lots of companies newletters so I often get them by email too. Just be careful not to tick the box to say you don’t want your details sharing.
Loyalty Cards
I often find that you get great discount vouchers and freebies sent to you occasionally so it’s definitely worth signing up to these loyalty schemes.
Do you have any other ways to source discount vouchers….
