Today I wanted to share my amazing 3 Ingredient DIY Natural Face Cleanser with you. This homemade DIY facial cleanser will not only lift impurities from the surface of your skin but will also leave your face feeling soft and rehydrated.
You can spend an absolute fortune on skin care these days and there’s no denying that the ranges of expensive products that you can buy will no doubt do wonders for your skin – or at least they should do if all the claims of scientific research and promises of youthful looking skin are to be believed. 😉
But can homemade do the same job? Can you make a product yourself quickly and easily that will do exactly the same job? Personally, I think you can and today I’m going to share my DIY Natural Face Cleanser to show you how I do it – I even have a little bit of scientific research to share with you to tell you why I think this is good for your skin…
Ingredient 1 – Manuka Honey
Manuka Honey is on a whole other level when it comes to honey. It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties which means it’s great for reducing redness and healing inflamed skin and eczema and also oxygenates your pores which draws out dirt and bacteria, in turn helping to reduce acne and spots. Manuka Honey has huge benefits when it comes to moisturising your skin without making it oily leaving you with a glowing complexion.
Ingredient 2 – Natural Yoghurt
Yoghurt naturally reduces fine lines and wrinkles which is something we’d all like, isn’t it? The lactic acid in natural yoghurt will help dissolve dead skin and tighten pores making it a great partner for the Manuka Honey in this DIY Natural Face Cleanser.
Ingredient 3 – Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes and is packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. It’s known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin and can also be used for reducing scars and fine lines on the skin.
What you need to make your own DIY Natural Face Cleanser
Note: I make this in small quantities and store it in a little mini mason jar that I keep in the fridge – the basic ratios I went for to make things simple is 1:1:1 so if you need to scale up or down, it’s super simple.
3 tsp of honey (Manuka honey is best by far for this but you can substitute for other types)
3 tsp of natural plain yoghurt
(Optional) 3 drops of rosehip oil
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a clean bowl using a spoon or clean blender. I’ve marked the Rosehip oil as optional as you may prefer not to use it if you don’t have it in or you don’t necessarily need the moisture boost that it adds.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days (or the life of your yoghurt).
- To use this cleanser, apply it in a circular motion to a damp face and wipe clean with a soft damp towel.
How easy is that to make!
Have fun. 😉
