Do you want to make some extra money this month? Today I’m sharing three super easy ways that could earn you at least £50 by the end of this month…
This is the second post in my new series on here where I’m going to be sharing three ideas each month that will help you to make some extra money without too much effort. If you just choose one to do each month then you should be £50 better off by the end of the month and I’m sure you can work out for yourself that if you do all three then that’s a massive £150 extra that you’ll see in your bank account!
If you really want to see those savings add up and you have a specific goal in mind then it’s definitely worth setting up a separate bank account to transfer your extra money to when you get it – I use my own bank’s mobile banking app so it literally takes me 30 seconds to do the transfer which is a good thing as I can do it before I change my mind. 😉
Some ideas will be easy, some will need more effort but whichever you pick, you’ll be glad you did when you see your savings start to mount up…
(Also, I should point out that some of the money may take longer to actually be paid to you – cashback sites etc do take a little longer as they need to verify that you’re genuine.)
Oh My Dosh
I wrote about Oh My Dosh a while ago as it’s a fab site for earning some extra money and since then I’ve continued to use it as there really are some great opportunities on there to make money. I thought I’d share it with you today and also break down just one of the many ways you can use it to earn £50 this month:
- Sign up via my referral link – £1 bonus when you hit £10
- Welcome bonus, confirm email and welcome survey – 50p x 3 so £1.50
- Sign up for a free three-month Taste card trial – £2.50
- Sign up to Switchcraft who will help you find a better deal for your energy and pay you £15 for signing up to them or join look after my bills and get £7 for joining and a further £10 Amazon gift card.
- Take a 30 day free trial with Amazon video – £4
- Take a 30 day free trial with Amazon music – £2
- Enter some of the competitions – approx £4 worth of offers on there at the moment.
- Sign up to some survey websites (where you can go on to earn more money) – approx £5 worth of sign up offers on there now.
- Get a free copy of your credit file with Experian and earn £1.25
- Get a free toucan box (it’s like a kids craft box) and earn £1.25
- Take a free 30 day trial with Hayu – £4.00
- Give two friends your refer a friend code and tell them how much they could be making – £10
This is just one of the combinations that will earn you £50 in your first month but there are so many more – I just went for the no-spend options but there are loads of things that you can sign up to and get paid more than it costs to sign up which work out well. There’s also some big-ticket ones where you can open an ISA with a company, deposit £100 and get back £50 cashback so once you’ve signed up, do have a good look about.
I have a different email address that I use for sign up offers like this and I also add an alert into my phone for the day that any free trials need cancelling to make sure I’m not charged if I don’t want to continue with the service.
Here’s my referral link if you do want to sign up.
Disclaimer: My last post about Oh My Dosh was a collaborative post as I was working with them to share their site with you all but my first post was last year and I’ve been using them ever since.
Use your Facebook local selling group
I bet you have a stack of things that you could sell that you don’t need or want anymore! What about the kids’ bikes that they’ve grown out of, last Summer’s clothes that don’t fit or even the gadget you had to have but never really used?
Have a sort through and get some items listed on your local Facebook selling group. It’s so easy to do as you can literally list things using your phone and you don’t have to faff about with postage or packaging.
You’ll be surprised at what sells – I even sold some black bags filled with the things I brought back from the boot sale last year which people snapped my hand off for even without seeing what was inside.
Become a mystery shopper
Before I started blogging, I used to do some mystery shopping for a couple of different companies and although I never made a fortune, I reckon I had a few months where I made at least £50.
Becoming a mystery shopper is actually quite easy and there are lots of different companies that you can work with to get paid assignments but these are the three that I’ve heard good things about.
- Market Force
- GFK
- GBW
Pay is usually between £5 and £10 per job but you’ll get expenses too and it can be nice being paid to eat out. You do have to be quick on the draw though as jobs go quick so keep an eye on your emails and notifications and act quickly if there’s a job you can complete. I once was super quick when a local chain of pub restaurants went live with some jobs and I managed to select four of the local jobs and did one a day for four days running so we got our meals free and got paid £8 a job. 😉
I wasn’t sure whether to include this one as your ability to earn £50 in a month depends more on what jobs are available than on your own efforts but I thought I’d go for it as it has great potential.
And if you missed last month’s post, here’s another three ways for you to earn £50 in a month.
