Do you want to make some extra money this month? Today I’m sharing three super easy ways that could earn you at least £50 by the end of this month…
This is the third post in my new series on here where I’m going to be sharing three ideas each month that will help you to make some extra money without too much effort. If you just choose one to do each month then you should be £50 better off by the end of the month and I’m sure you can work out for yourself that if you do all three then that’s a massive £150 extra that you’ll see in your bank account!
Some ideas will be easy, some will need more effort but whichever you pick, you’ll be glad you did when you see your savings start to mount up…
(Also, I should point out that some of the money may take longer to actually be paid to you – cashback sites etc do take a little longer as they need to verify that you’re genuine.)
Review your Home Insurance premium
Even if your current home insurance isn’t due for renewal, you can often cancel for a small surcharge which may not seem amazing but what if you can get a better deal with cash back that will more than cover the cancellation to charge.
I’ve done this before and was charged around the same as a 1 month’s premium would have cost me (I did used to pay monthly) but I got around £75 cashback and switched to a better deal that saved me around £4 a month which is almost £50 a year. So it was well worth the small charge I paid to switch rather than me waiting for the end of my policy to start shopping about.
There are loads of offers on cashback sites for home insurance right now but this one looks like a good one – TopCashback is offering up to £75 cashback with More Than Insurance right now.
Join 20 Cogs
20Cogs is a relatively new website with the potential to earn extra money on the side by completing some easy ‘offers’ which vary between entering competitions, signing up for special offers with retailers, testing online games and completing surveys.
It’s a site that I worked with myself when they were brand new and I was pretty pleased with my earnings in just a couple of days…
That was way back in 2016 though and the site’s come on massively since then with even more opportunities to earn. The very lovely Emma Drew reminded me of the site when she wrote about it recently so I thought, rather than me writing the same as she already has I’ll just send you her way for the info instead. 😉
It’s a way you can earn a fair amount more than £50 but I’m including it in this month’s ‘earn £50 in a month’ post simply because that’s my experience based on my usage over a few days in 2016 – if you have more time then you could be on to a winner.
Start a cottage industry
Can you bake? Can you craft? Do you have anything you make that people would buy?
Lots of people do without even realising so I recommend sitting down and having a think about whether you have something you could produce at home in your spare time and sell to your family and friends.
You could offer to bake Birthday cakes, knit/crochet for people or if sewings your thing then you could even do some dressmaking or custom cushions and curtains. Just make sure you charge enough to cover your materials as well as your time.
