All week, I’ve been hoping forward to a lovely sunny weekend so I could make some inroads into the overgrown mess that is currently our back garden. Clearly it wasn’t meant to be though because I got up this morning, pulled open the curtains and was greeted by a cloudy grey sky instead of the sunshine I wanted!
So now that I have a gardening free weekend stretching ahead of me, I decided to have some fun with the kids even though I think were secretly hoping to spending the weekend being lazy and playing Minecraft.
Last Summer I wrote a post about our favourite thing to do when it’s raining because, let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than being stuck in the house with bored children as we all know that bored children usually morph into whingey children very quickly.
You’re welcome to have a look at our Rainy Day Fun ideas but the point I wanted to make today is that just because it’s raining, doesn’t mean you have to stay indoors. Now clearly this isn’t an amazing revelation and you’re all fully aware that you can go out in the rain but judging by some of the tweets and Facebook statuses I’ve seen recently, lots of people think that if it’s raining you need to stay at home!
But you can have fun outdoors when the weather is rainy – especially when it’s like it is now because it’s not cold and rainy, just rainy. So here’s our favourite things to do outside on a rainy day:
So don’t forget, just because it’s raining doesn’t mean you can’t get outside, get some fresh air and have some fun!
