When Poundworld asked me to review their Halloween range for them on the same day that Miss Frugal asked if she could have all of her friends around after a trip out they were planning to go to a super scary Halloween event near where we live, the temptation to have a last minute Halloween party was too much for me!
I’m not one for being organised though so considering the party is tonight, I only started preparing for it this morning as I’ve had a super busy week so haven’t had the chance to get into town to go to Poundland. All is good though because they have a huge range of Halloween products with everything from sweets and treats to costumes, tableware and decorations.
I was literally able to pick up everything that I needed in one aisle!
It didn’t take me long at all to get it all together when I got home, this is the table as it looks now waiting for everyone to arrive….
My favourite things are the drinks bottle labels that I got! You get four in a pack for a pound and you literally just peel the backing off each one and stick it to a 2-litre bottle of pop. I think they look amazing. 😉
The web you can see in the background is actually a pack of four window web decorations but I arranged them around our pumpkins and added a giant spider that we found on our shopping trip.
I also bought all matching paper plates, bowls and cups to reduce washing up although the larger bowls that you can see and the bone appetite tray are plastic so they can just be washed and used again.
You can probably see the table covering best in this photo – it’s like a netting type of thing that just stretches out.
I bought some novelty cups and glasses too and some really cute little straws that have little pumpkins, ghosts or witches stuck on them. I decorated the backs of the chairs with some ‘Caution, do not enter’ tape and added a hanging ghost or skeleton to each one too.
I even drew pumpkin faces onto oranges to make them look cute mixed in with the chocolate pumpkins….
There’s also random severed hands and feet scattered about the room and a whole stack of sweets, crisps and other drinks that I ended up not being able to fit on the table.
Master Frugal has even made a little bowl filled with sweets, spiders and spider’s web stuff.
There’s more than enough for Miss Frugal’s party tonight and I’ve put some stuff to one side to give out to the trick or treaters on Halloween night itself as well as making some little party bags for the kids that live either side of us.
I’m really impressed with the range of Halloween things at Poundworld and will definitely be back for my Halloween makeup
Now I can’t wait to see their full Christmas range…. 😉
