Ever since we were asked to be Nintendo family bloggers at the start of the year we’ve been lucky enough to receive some brilliant parcels through the post from them.
So far, Master Frugal’s favourite delivery by far has been Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U which is even better than the previous versions of Mario Kart Wii with new power ups and new characters along with options to customise your karts. The game play is more fun too and even I manage to complete a course without falling off the track a million times like I used to.
I love Mario Kart 8 better than the others because you go upside down and all that and it’s really fun to play. My favourite character is Iggy Koopa and I like to mess around with the Karts.

Miss Frugal’s favourite delivery came last week and is Pokemon Art Academy for her 2DS which she has very much enjoyed playing over the last week or so. I’m quite surprised actually as she really wanted to review this rather than Master Frugal even though she isn’t really into Pokemon. The game itself teaches you how to draw all of your favourite Pokemon but along the way it teaches you some art techniques that translate into other drawings you want to do.
I love drawing and the Pokemon Art Academy is really good because it shows you how to draw things in a step by step kind of way which makes it a lot easier to do. I love drawing so this is good for me.

The game inspired her to actually want to go out to sketch things she found so off we popped to the beach to do some drawings which was a lot of fun – even though I’m not a great artist at all!
Unfortunately, our trip to the beach was rudely interrupted by a giant wasp that wanted to sit with us (or rather ON Master Frugal) but we enjoyed the time that we were there that much that we’ve planned to go again as soon as the sun returns! Before we left though we did do something that we haven’t done in years – build a sandcastle.
What do you think?
