My April Goals….
I'm the sort of person who enjoys having a goal or target to work towards, especially if there's a way I can monitor my progress on my way to the end goal. I think that's why i'm enjoying writing these monthly posts at the start of each month sharing my goals for the month ahead. Today I'm sharing my April goals although they're not too taxing if I'm honest as I've got so much on that just making it to the end of the month without collapsing in a tired heap will do me fine! April Goals - Personal My main personal goal for March was to get some balance back in my life and I'm pleased with … [Read more...]
Homemade Pizza for just 50p per portion!
I'm trying to be more aware of the costs of our meals lately so I can share my cheapest meals with you in a series of posts and the first thing I thought of was homemade pizza.I work this out to be around 50p a portion for a plan pizza and that's based on one batch of dough making two pizzas. The basic recipe for the chocolate cupcakes is just a normal chocolate sponge cake recipe so you … [Read more...]

Miss Frugal is ridiculously excited about our fast approaching trip to New York!Even though we don't go for another two weeks (12 sleeps if we're being exact), she's spent some time today packing her carry on bag for the plane journey. She's been itching to pack it for a few weeks to be honest so there was no stopping her today when she saw me bringing one of the suitcases from the garage this morning.I got her to take a photo of it all for you so you could see exactly what she considers to be her 'essentials' for a transatlantic flight. And just in case you're interested, she's … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {31 March 2017}….
1) Honestly, excitement is at record levels in our house right now because this time next week Miss Frugal and I will be in New York! Top of my list of things to sort this week was our mobile phones as we're both on monthly tariffs that are great value for money here in the UK but not so much for abroad and we really want to use them when we're away to keep in touch with home. I had heard that Three were great for using your card abroad so I've had my phone unlocked and ordered a free sim from Three which I've topped up now and when I get to New York, I'll swap over the Sim and because Three … [Read more...]
