Do you have any idea what a 'dump' recipe is?I didn't until I started researching batch cooking recipes but now, thanks to Pinterest, I can tell you that a dump recipe is a recipe that you put together in a zip-lock bag (or other container) and put in the freezer before cooking.You then get it out the night before you're ready to cook it so it's defrosted in time for when you're ready to cook it and because you've already prepared the ingredients, you don't have to do anything else other then cook it either in the slow cooker or in the oven. Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. I'm very excited because my new (to me) writing bureau that I bought off our local Facebook selling group has just been delivered and I LOVE it. I've wanted one for so long but rarely see them in my price range anywhere so when I saw this one still up for sale after a few days for £65 I thought it was worth putting a cheeky offer in. £50 and it was mine and the lovely man even offered to deliver it for me for no extra charge. It's no secret that I prefer easy, simple to prepare recipes when I'm cooking. Decorating on a budget: Quick Bedroom Refresh….
At the start of this year, I challenged myself to get all of the little jobs done around the house that have needed doing for ages but never seem to get done and to decorate one room or do one 'big job' (to us it seems big anyway) every month. We don't have a huge budget so we're trying to do things as cheaply as possible and get as much for our money as possible.So far, we're not doing too badly - we did Master Frugal's bedroom in January, the Living Room in February (no major changes though) and a giant garage clear out.
