Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. Not massively money saving but this morning we walked into town instead of taking the car - only about a mile and a half each way but we saved petrol and car parking and even more importantly, we had a lovely catch up while we were walking.2. We decided to make some homemade bracelets using the beads we bought off a lovely lady on our local Facebook selling site. The beads were a massive bargain at just £12 for two big bags of them - there are literally hundreds, all as pretty as these:We've now got some last minute Birthday gifts ready … [Read more...]
10 ways to keep kids active….
We all know how important it is to make sure that children are active on a regular basis, don't we?Some children are naturally active whereas others (like my two) need a little more encouragement so when it comes to making sure that my two get as much exercise as they need, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I try to make things fun for them and most of the time, they exercise without even knowing that they're doing it.See for yourself....Scooter Fun - they have so much fun at the local skate park but just as much fun scooting around the park or in the street. Wednesday’s Wardrobe – You don’t have to spend a fortune to look nice….
Welcome to Wednesday's Wardrobe! In case you missed me telling you last week, Wednesday’s Wardrobe is a weekly linky that I'll be hosting with two fantastic bloggers, Emma and Sarah. Cheesey Broccoli Egg Muffins….
After last week's mini egg omelettes success I thought I'd try making them again but this time I made them with the intention of using up some broccoli and grated cheese that was left over from when I made macaroni cheese with broccoli and bacon last night. They were even more delicious than last weeks version!Don't worry, I'm not going to share a different egg muffin recipe each week - this one was too good not to share though.... Cheesey Broccoli Egg Muffins 4 eggs (beaten with a splash of milk and seasoned) Broccoli Grated cheese Leftover ham if you have someGrease a … [Read more...]

Happy 10th Birthday Master Frugal….
Master Frugal is 10 years old today!I have no idea where the time's gone but it feels like only yesterday that I first held him in my arms and I can't believe that he's so grown up.I'm so proud of the boy he's grown into but despite starting this post about nine million times (me, exaggerate?), I just can't seem to find the right words to express how I feel.
