Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 1) Look at my bargain 99p t-shirt. I have very few t-shirts so I was over the moon when I found this bargain M&S top on one of my charity shop trips last weekend. You can't really tell but it's a navy blue with pretty pink writing on it and I love it!I've never been a t-shirt wearer and would much rather have a dress and tights on … [Read more...]
This month’s pre-loved bargains {February 2022}….
You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it's from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and this is my monthly post to share some of my bargains with you!I know I say this pretty much every month but I genuinely love buying second-hand (here are 8 reasons why I think buying second-hand clothes is the future) and this month's little haul has made me super happy as usual as I got lots of great bargains! This first top is the prettiest little wrap top from Blue Vanilla which cost me £4.59 and I absolutely LOVE it! The fabric is super soft … [Read more...]
Could your junk mail save you money?
I know I've touched on how something that you might class as 'junk mail' can actually save you money a few times before in my weekly five frugal things post but today, I thought we'd give it a whole post of its own.(I first published this a couple of years ago but money's tight for lots of people right now so I thought it was worth a quick update and a reshare to remind you of a couple of different ways to save some money) Lots of people mentally sort their mail into three piles - you have the boring bills and grown-up life admin stuff, the waste of paper junk mail and finally, what's … [Read more...]
Homemade Healthy Roasted Tomato Soup….
It's definitely soup weather today and I have tomatoes in the oven roasting away ready to make this homemade tomato soup recipe. My homemade roasted tomato soup is absolutely amazing and I guarantee that once you've made it once, you'll make it again and again!I love the smell (and taste) of tomatoes that are sold on the vine as it reminds me of watering the tomatoes with my dad in his greenhouse when I was a child. The smell takes me right back to when I used to pester him to let me help with some of the watering and the memories that the smell brings back makes me feel safe … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things we did this week {4th February 2022}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 1) You know how I always say that I buy at least one Christmas present a year using my Boots Advantage Points? Well, this is one of the ways I bump up my points balances...A couple of times a year, I get a little letter from Boots with a stack of vouchers giving me extra points for various bits and bobs. I won't buy something for the sake of … [Read more...]
What I made in a weekend selling on Vinted….
I know I'm always telling you how to sell on Vinted but today, I thought I'd go one step further and share how I made money selling on Vinted last weekend to encourage you to give it a try!I say this in every month's pre-loved bargains post (and probably at least half of my five frugal things posts) but I have a one in, one out policy when it comes to clothes and shoes so if I buy something to add to my wardrobe then I choose something else to sell on Vinted or add something to the pile to donate to the charity shop near where I live. That's pretty much the only way I can … [Read more...]
