The one with the Brain Scan….
Yesterday was brain scan day for Miss Frugal. Apart from letting her know what to expect, we'd tried not to talk about the scan too much beforehand as we didn't want to make it into a big thing which we thought would have made her more nervous than she was. Our plan worked to a certain extent as she didn't seem overly concerned about it - until we picked her up from school early yesterday to go to the hospital that is. She was very quiet on the journey there and had a scared look on her face (you know the one, wide eyes, sad mouth) that no amount of cuddling and holding hands would get rid … [Read more...]
The Death of a Kettle….
While I was ill this weekend (I promise that's the last time I'll mention it ;-)), I have a vague recollection of Miss Frugal coming in to my bedroom and telling me that she wanted to wash her bike. I'm rather demanding when I'm ill so the bell was duly confiscated after an hour or so. After the … [Read more...]

In case you haven't heard, Facebook's facial recognition technology means that if you upload a picture to Facebook, the system will scan the other 90 billion photos that it's 600 million members have uploaded to see if any of the faces in your photo match the faces of people who have already been tagged. If it finds a potential match, you'll recieve a message telling you and offering to tag the picture with the persons name. From what I understand the more pictures of someone that are … [Read more...]
