Not a Good Week….
I've not had a good week this week! My week from hell started when we got up on Monday morning and Master Frugal clearly wasn't well enough to go school. He looked white as a sheet and said he was achey all over so I sent him back to bed and arranged for Mr Frugal's mam to come and sit with him while I was at work. When I came home, he was snuggled up on the settee sound asleep, I pulled back the blanket to give him a hug and instantly noticed that he was burning up and I mean really burning up! We ran him a cool bath to try and cool him down but when I undressed him I noticed the … [Read more...]

We set aside last Sunday as our 1930's day but when we woke up, Master Frugal wasn't well so we decided to let him off the hook and just me and Miss Frugal worked our way through the list of tasks ;-)We started the day off with the 1930's beauty regime, of which I will … [Read more...]
Do you make time to help your children learn?
I read something in a magazine this week that annoyed me so much so that I actually e mailed the publishers of the magazine. It was a readers letter from a mum who said that her son was struggling with his spelling but 'as a busy mum' she didn't have time to help him. She does go on to say that she discovered her local library, got him a library card and his spelling has now greatly improved but I really don't think that's the point. As a mother, I do everything I can to encourage my children's learning and when it was apparent that Master Frugal was struggling, I did everything I could … [Read more...]
