Let's face it, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without at least one tub of Quality Street or Roses would it?This Christmas we've been saving all of our wrappers in preparation for Get Crafty, much to Mr Frugal's annoyance as one of his pet hates is people eating the sweets and putting the wrappers back in the tin ;-)We were going to make stained glass windows for the kids bedrooms but a last minute change of plan meant that we decided to make stained glass bookmarks instead as Miss Frugal decided she was desperate for a bookmark for the book she's reading now - … [Read more...]
Cooking with Kids – Cheese Straws….
I know I've said this before but just in case you missed it, I'll say it again :-) I think it's really important that we teach our children to cook. I spend lots of time in the kitchen with my two and we all really enjoy the time we spend together in there.I want to share some of the things we cook together with you but I also want you to join in with your children, so I'm going to have a cooking with kids challenge every fortnight and I'd love you to join in. As you've probably gathered, we're all feeling a bit sorry for ourselves at the moment. On the plus side, things are starting to look up a bit, the kids seem to be a lot brighter today and tomorrow is Mr Frugal's last day at work so we've decided … [Read more...]
