We've had a bit of an ongoing argument in the Frugal house - about the sort of dog we wanted. In fact, it's been going on for so long that I'd just about given up hope of us ever getting a dog. Mr Frugal wants a German Shepherd or a Labrador and I want a Bichon Frise ;-) He wants a 'manly' dog that he won't feel embarassed about walking and I want a cute little dog that doesn't molt everywhere. The problem was that neither of us wanted to give in.... Until last night when for some reason, he changed his mind and said that if I really wanted one, I could have one!To say I was stunned … [Read more...]
Would you buy presents off Ebay….
I know I'm early with the Christmas post but it's because I have to start my Christmas planning earlier than usual. You see, Christmas used to be paid for using my quarterly bonus from work which I got in November every year but this year (due to a promotion at work) my bonus is now paid half yearly which means no Christmas bonus ;-(So far I've been getting a few bits and bobs here and there when I've been out and about shopping but today I remembered I had a bit of money in my Paypal account so I thought I'd pop on to Ebay and see if there were any bargains to be had. I though I would have a go.I used my own version of a red velvet cupcake mix which Miss Frugal thought was really … [Read more...]

However, the fact that he's had it in his pocket since his lunch break does put me off eating it - I think prefer the silver Loveheart he bought me for Christmas. … [Read more...]

Why I blog….
After reading an interesting discussion over on Blogger.Ed that started out about how competitive bloggers were and turned into people sharing the reasons why they blogged, I decided to share with you the reason why I blogI've said before that the reason I blog is to record my children's childhood for them (and for me) and that one day, I hope to print the whole thing out and give a copy to each of them. Before I blogged I made memory booksfor them and I do update them from time to time aswell but my main record is this blog.I became slightly obsessed with keeping a record of … [Read more...]
