Seeing as Miss Frugal’s hasn’t got home from last nights sleepover yet, we decided to take Master Frugal to the car boot sale this afternoon to buy him some treats to cheer him up a bit and we couldn’t have picked a better day to go – loads of stalls and not many visitors We got two ‘awesome’ Spiderman cars for him for 50p each, Spiderman on a bike (that lights up, makes noise AND moves) for 50p, a batman on a bike and a batman moster truck for 50p, a bag full of knights (for the Knights castle we bought a few weeks ago) for £1.00 and a free pirates ship as the man wasn’t wanting to take anything home with him! We also got a light up light saber for him for 20p. He can’t stop smiling and feels well and truly spoilt – All for a few pounds 😉
We got 3 tops and a skirt for Miss Frugal for 20p each and a Hello Kitty Bag for her for just £1.00 and even managed to buy two books for 40p each. I can’t believe how much we came home with for how little we actually spent….
I’ve also managed to finish the first room in my home makeover – my entrance hall. It’s the smallest room in the house but still, it’s now a very pretty small room.
I’ve painted the room a nice warm cream colour and hung the small (freshly sanded) mirror I bought from the car boot sale a few weeks ago on the wall.
I’ve hung the gorgeous heart photo frames I bought from Ebay on either side of the mirror, displaying some of my favourite family pictures in minature and underneath I’ve put up a little heart chalk board I got from Next, although I can’t for the life of me find any reasonably priced chalk anywhere to write my reminders on there.
Finally, as a finishing touch, I’ve used the heart shaped stone we found on the beach to cover the hook in the wall that you could just about see at the top of the mirror.
I love my little hallway – it makes me smile whenever I come home and it cost less than £20.00 including the paint (loads left over) altogether. I’m going to move on to our bedroom now so I’ll be on the hunt for bedroom related bargains next.
