Over the last year or so Master Frugal has really developed an interest in football – something his Dad has been waiting for since the day we were told that we were expecting a boy!
Until then, despite his Dad’s best efforts, he had paid no attention to anything football related and wouldn’t even consider a game of Fifa on the xbox 360. Then overnight, he was suddenly football mad and couldn’t get enough of anything football related.
Now they sit and talk about football together, they watch Sky Sports news and discuss what’s going on in the football world and they play Fifa together whenever they can.
A couple of weeks ago they even went on a stadium tour of Middlesbrough FC together which they loved….
If ever you have the chance to take your little football fans on a stadium tour of their favourite team its well worth doing. This tour included everything from sitting in the players dressing rooms to walking out to the pitch down the tunnel.
I do feel like a bit of a football widow sometimes but on the whole, I love the time that they’re spending together because it gives me some time to spend with Miss Frugal who at 12, is probably nearing the stage where it’s un-cool to hang out with your mum.
We sometimes pop out somewhere for a treat but most of the time we stay at home and watch a girly movie upstairs while the boys are doing something football related downstairs. We also like a bit of a pamper so we made full use of the gorgeous pamper hamper from Pamper Parcels that we were sent by Betfair and had a lovely pamper afternoon upstairs today while the boys watch something football related on TV.
I smell lovely right now and we’re now back downstairs ready to watch a film together as soon as we can evict the boys from the living room!
I hope you’re having as lovely a Sunday as we’re having.
