Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons. ;-)1) Did you see this week's meal plan over on Instagram earlier in the … [Read more...]
Things That Frugal People Don’t (Usually) Do….
{I'm re-sharing this post today as I've seen some super negative comments on Instagram this week where people have been judging others for the way they choose to spend their money - not on my posts in case you're wondering but I just hate seeing people be judged for spending their hard earned money how they want to spend it so I thought I'd dust off this post and get on my soapbox again}Last week someone left a comment on one of my posts to say that they didn't think that having a holiday was very frugal which is something that I completely disagree with. There are two versions to choose from - a plain and a pretty version but obviously, I always … [Read more...]
Five ways to use up leftover hard-boiled eggs….
Did you know that a hard-boiled egg is safe to eat for you to seven days after it's been cooked?* I had no idea that they lasted that long until I started researching some ideas for what leftover hard-boiled eggs could be used for since I shared my post last Monday about how to colour eggs naturally.** According to this post, a hard-boiled egg will last for up to seven days in the fridge as long as the shell is still on it. If you peel it before popping it in the fridge then it's only good for up to five days. **Hard boiling and poaching eggs have shown to be the … [Read more...]
