Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Before I start though, as always feel that I should say that being frugal to me is about getting the best value for our money - it's not about doing without for us or about not having nice things. We all have different financial situations and we're all frugal for different reasons. ;-)1) It's been a while since I started one of these posts with some bargain flowers but I … [Read more...]
Amazing Homemade Hobnobs {Oat Cookies}….
Homemade hobnobs are going to revolutionise your life. Possibly. :-)Homemade hobnobs are literally my favourite biscuit in the world (unless you count chocolate chip cookies and jaffa cakes) and this recipe for them is one I've adapted over the years after a lovely friend shared it with me. It's so quick and easy to make that I often find myself making a batch while I'm waiting for tea to cook and when I do make them, they rarely last long at all as they're so popular. I'm sure I've shared them before in a five frugal things post but for those of you who … [Read more...]
Lavender and Mint Homemade Shampoo Bar Recipe….
One thing I'm really enjoying lately is my little DIY projects - especially those that give me a chance to incorporate my new-found love of essential oils. Soothing Homemade Vapour Rub….
It's that time of year when everyone seems to be suffering from sniffly noses and sore throats! I thought it was probably a good time to share my amazing homemade Vapour RubLast Christmas (not the one just gone, the one before) we were all chock full of cold from the weekend before the kids broke up for school until well into January - possibly February if I remember rightly. The kids especially were coughing so much that even when they had the energy to actually get dressed and do something, I was reluctant to let them venture outside as the cold on their chest brought on coughing … [Read more...]
