I've made myself a cheeky little DIY herb garden and over the last few weeks, I've been inspired to cook more using the herbs I'm growing which in turn has meant more home cooked yummy meals for us! Today, I'm sharing how I made my little DIY herb garden in case you want to make one too...This little project was totally inspired by Pinterest because over the last few months, I've seen so many different ways to make a DIY herb garden - all of which would look perfect in the back garden I have planned for this Summer. ;-)I had planned to upcycle a full pallet and even got as far as … [Read more...]
How practicing mindfulness helps me to reduce stress….
Practicing mindfulness has helped me massively over the last year or so and today, I'm going to tell you how it can help you too!Over the year or so, I've tried quite hard to reduce stress from my life - mainly because there have been times recently when my stress levels have been so high that I genuinely could have crumbled. That sounds super dramatic I know but there's been so much going on in my life and I've had so much on my mind at times that I needed to find a way to help me to handle it all and practicing mindfulness has helped me with some of it.I used to think … [Read more...]
Meal Planning Monday – Slimming World Style….
So, June is shaping up to be a super exciting and super busy month so I think it's time to get back on track with Slimming World. ;-)I'd only just (re) joined Slimming World when my Dad died in March and life got a bit chaotic so I used that as an excuse to put off being good and sticking to the plan.I weighed myself yesterday and I've lost 1lb since that time so at least I know that whilst I haven't been good, at least I haven't been too bad.I've sat down and worked out my Slimming World meal plan for the week and yes, I know that to make it work long term, I need to get us … [Read more...]

Let’s Test: Tesco flowers 14 day freshness guarantee….
Usually, when you buy supermarket flowers they come with a 5 or 7 day freshness guarantee which means exactly what it sounds like it does - that your flowers will stay looking fresh for at least that period of time. That freshness guarantee is something I look for when I buy any fresh flowers because, in my experience, even reduced price flowers last for at least as long as the length of time the label says the guarantee is for.I've only ever had a couple of experiences where the guarantee hasn't worked - one it kind of did work as the flowers didn't exactly die within the guarantee … [Read more...]
