Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve done this week {4th November 2016}….
1) This first one is a total cheat as I did it ages ago but I never told you so I'm going to tell you about it today. When I found out I was going to need an operation I bought a three months pre-paid prescription certificate because I had a good few weeks to wait to see the specialist, then there was the wait for the operation itself and then the recovery period. After speaking to the Doctor, I knew there was a good chance I would need a few different prescriptions so I went for it and splashed out just short of £30 for three months. In that time, I think I've had 7 or 8 different tablets … [Read more...]
How to clean your house FAST….
I'm not a fan of housework in any form but I do like to live in a tidy house so over the years I've so many blog posts and watched so many YouTube videos with people sharing their 'How to clean your house fast' tips that I should be an expert.I've tried cleaning schedules, daily routines, and all manner of systems but the only thing that works for me is a weekly focus on just getting the job done. Budget DIY Lush Oatifix Facemask….
I might have mentioned in the past that Miss Frugal has a slight obsession with Lush which has resulted in rather a lot of her pocketmoney being spent in our local store in the past. The problem for her is that she's now trying to save up for our trip to New York next year so she's decided no more Lush until we get back - which should in fact be quite easy considering that she has at least a year's supply of bath bombs in her room somewhere!Because she isn't buying anything from Lush right now, she's been scouring Pinterest for her favourite products to see if she can make her own … [Read more...]
Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve done this week {28th October 2016}….
I'm so sorry if you've already seen this post or if you left a comment last week but the whole post got eaten by my blog over the weekend so I've had to redo it. Along with my usual batch cooked meals I often have ready made pies in the freezer for a quick and easy meal when I don’t have time (or energy) to cook. I used to serve two pies each (not for the kids obviously) because that’s what my Dad used to serve when we had pies when I was growing up and I just did it … [Read more...]
