This super easy black cherry cobbler is an amazing variation of my fruit cobbler recipe! Trust me, you're going to LOVE it!We love a good old fruit cobbler here, mostly because there's no better comfort food for a lazy Sunday afternoon (or any afternoon for that matter) than a hot fruit cobbler with custard. We also love it because it's so easy to make and our version doesn't even involve weighing out ingredients because we just use cups to measure out our ingredients. I first shared our love of cobbler back in 2009! At that point, I hadn't really ventured away from … [Read more...]
Four Ingredient Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies….
These Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies are super easy to make, taste amazing and even more amazing is the fact that they only use four ingredients that you'll probably have in the house already!I love a good simple recipe and this is just about as simple as it comes - and the best bit is that the finished cookies taste anything but quick and easy although I should say that they don't look like picture-perfect cookies if you make them anything like I do.They're perfect for the kids to make and if you have older kids like my two, they'll have the recipe memorised so they can whip up a … [Read more...]
School Dinner Coconut Cake….
Oh my goodness, you are in for a treat if you try this school dinner coconut cake because it is genuinely the most amazing cake I've made in a long time!Honestly, it's such a lovely cake and takes me right back to my school days as I'm 99% sure that this was one of my favourite school dinner puddings. In fact, it came a close second to something I can only describe as lumpy pink custard which is a description that doesn't do my memory justice!I should also say that the photos of this cake don't do it justice either but it was such a dark miserable day outside when I made it … [Read more...]
Two Ingredient Slow Cooker Cake…
I'm really not sure how I feel about this two ingredient slow cooker cake - it shouldn't work but it kind of does work.I'm a member of a couple of slow cooking groups on Facebook (I know, super exciting or what) and at least three times a week, I'll see a post pop up in my feed from someone saying how amazing this two ingredient slow cooker cake is. Over the last few months, I've seen so many different flavour combinations and most have worked with great levels of success.I did want to have a go at making it myself but I knew I needed some large slow cooker cake cases (if … [Read more...]
How to use up Leftover Baileys Irish Cream….
If ever you find yourself with any leftover Baileys Irish Cream then this is exactly the recipe you need! So, I've called this post 'What to do with leftover Baileys' but in our house, the bottle of Baileys is actually bought more to make this cake than to drink as it's been a family tradition for a good 10 years now and it's not Christmas unless we have this as dessert at least once!I've had a look through my photos over the years to see if I have some good ones but I really don't - mainly because this takes minutes to make so I always make it right before we eat it and it's always … [Read more...]
No Bake Gingerbread Fudge Recipe….
This recipe for no bake Gingerbread Fudge Recipe is just amazing! It's perfect for a sweet treat but makes a great homemade gift too! After the success of my peanut butter fudge a couple of weeks ago, I decided to use the random tin of condensed milk that I had left in the cupboard to experiment with a fudge recipe using my homemade apple pie spice mix. The spice mix is made using lovely warming spices so the natural choice for a fudge flavour that would bring out the warmth of the mix was ginger so I just went with it and it really did work!I bagged it up into my little sweet … [Read more...]
