See what I did there with the title. ;-) I wanted to make some fancy Easter cupcakes to share with you today - the plan was that would wow you with my cooking prowess but the reality was very different. The cakes didn't look anything like they were meant to so I thought I'd share a few easy Easter cupcake ideas with you instead. Now, these ideas aren't necessarily Pinterest worthy but they taste amazing, they're easy to make and they have a definite Easter theme so let's just go with it...First up, the recipe I use for my cupcakes (they're all chocolate today) is a simple one that I … [Read more...]
Healthy Oat Pancakes….
It's pancake day tomorrow so I thought I'd share my healthy oat pancakes with you just in case you fancy a healthy option tomorrow!Wherever possible, we keep Sunday aside as a family day where we spend some quality time together seeing as we seem to spend less and less time together during the week now that the kids are older and have different priorities (in no particular order: football, makeup, snapchat, friends and Fifa). We start the day together with a family breakfast although to be fair, we could call it brunch seeing as it's usually almost lunchtime by the time the kids … [Read more...]
Candy Cane Spoons….

Yummy Avocado Brownies….
Miss Frugal has gone avocado mad lately and would have Avocado toast for every meal if I let her. When we found ourselves with a bit of an avocado overload last weekend, we decided to switch it up a bit and make avocado brownies!First of all, I want to tell you how we ended up with so many avocados because we all know that they're not a particularly cheap thing to buy. Morrisons have started selling wonky fruit and vegetables and I found a pack of wonky avocados which had about five for £1.56 so I bought a pack but forgot we already had a two pack at home. We've been meaning to … [Read more...]
