Remember how I said I was going to do more crafting in the run-up to Christmas? Well, this little homemade Air Plant Terrarium is the first thing I made after deciding that we were having a handmade Christmas. (I feel like I should probably say at this point that this is a super basic craft that you can make more complicated if you want depending on what you want to use to pop into your little terrarium. I almost feel bad calling it a terrarium. ;-)) I started with this little mini project because I really wanted to make something to get me going but obviously, it's way too early … [Read more...]
Five of my Favourite Super Cute Unicorn Crafts….
Today's post is a bit of a round up of some of my favourite Unicorn crafts!I *may* have a thing about unicorns. I also may have a thing (that I only noticed when I was putting this post together) where I have to include the words 'Super Cute' in the title of pretty much every post about unicorns. To be honest, it's not really unicorns that I have a thing about, it's more the fact that you can go a bit mad with the pretty colours when you're making unicorn crafts and DIYs. I have a plan for a few more, including a unicorn sugar scrub and a unicorn smoothie but … [Read more...]
Homemade Coconut Soap…
A while ago now, I shared my first attempt at making soap with you. My lovely Honey and Oatmeal Soap was so lovely that I decided to have a go at making a coconut soap because as the weather gets warmer, coconut is definitely one of my favourite scents.I always thought that making your own soap was quite a long process and I'm petty sure that the traditional way involves something that requires gloves and a facemask which put me off having a go myself so I've never looked into it too much. But then I discovered something called 'Melt and Pour Soap Base' which is amazing and … [Read more...]
Romantic Rose Petal and Vanilla Sugar Scrub….
I've just made a small batch of this amazing rose petal and vanilla sugar scrub using some rose petals that I got for 50p in the reduced section at Tesco and it reminded me how lovely it was to use so I thought I'd share it again with you all.One of my friends gave me some lovely dried rose petals a little while ago when I was planning to make some pretty candles as Christmas gifts. I never got around to making the candles so the rose petals have just been sat in my cupboard gathering dust until Miss Frugal came across them the other day.Naturally, the first thing she … [Read more...]
Thrifty but Cute Mason Jar Gifts for everyone….
Homemade gifts can not only save you money but they can also show the person you give them to just how much you've thought about the gift you're giving them. I've got lots of ideas for homemade gifts this Christmas but today, we're starting with some ideas for mason jar gifts.Mason Jars are traditionally used for preserving and canning food but I use them for all sorts in my house. In my kitchen alone I've used the smaller sized jars to store my homemade applesauce in and I have lots of them in my cupboard filled with everything from flour to porridge oats and I even have one filled … [Read more...]
Free Poster Maker: Reasons to be thankful….
I'm trying to find more uses for my free Christmas poster maker tool so today, I'm sharing a lovely idea for a poster to share all of the things in your life that you're thankful for. This year more than ever, I've come to realise that no matter what's going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for - I know that sometimes you just have to look a little harder for it but there's always something. Easier said than done I know but this is something that's got me through a difficult year so humour me for a few minutes. ;-)I used the poster maker to … [Read more...]
