Freezer burritos are a fantastic way to not only use up leftovers but also to guarantee that you're going to always have a super quick lunch or snack to hand whenever you need one!**I'm going to start by apologising for the photos of the freezer burritos which really aren't great - it was the greyest day outside when I was taking them and I really wasn't expecting to share these on here as a separate post so I didn't do any faffing. I had planned to just share them on a five frugal things weekly post but they went down so well that I decided they deserved their own post.**I … [Read more...]

Slow Cooker Minced Beef and Onions Recipe….
My slow cooker mince beef and onions recipe is definitely my most cooked recipe and I only just realised that I'd never shared it with you before - how odd is that? Leftover Gammon and Cheesy Mash Fritters…
These leftover gammon and cheesy mash fritters are AMAZING - not only do they use up leftovers and transform them into a whole new meal, but they're also easy to make and taste delicious!I made some rainbow vegetable fritters a year or so ago and ever since then, I've been planning to see if I could make something similar with the leftover mash and gammon that we seem to have on a regular basis. Then Jen popped round to collect Maxi (who was playing basketball with Master Frugal for a good three hours solid) and mentioned that she's just made some cod and pea fritters … [Read more...]
Heavenly Strawberry and Banana Cake…
Once you've tried this amazing strawberry and banana cake, I guarantee you'll be making it again. And again. ;-)Usually, I'll make banana bread, banana muffins or even a hair mask when I have some over-ripe bananas to use up. Last weekend though, I found myself with not only 3 very brown looking bananas that needed to be used but also with a punnet of strawberries that were just this side of being ok to use.I considered making smoothies for everyone but decided to adapt my banana bread recipe to make it a bit more 'cakey' and add in some chopped strawberries to make a … [Read more...]
How I meal plan as a working Mum with NO time….

I've just about got things back under control now but I've had to change our routine a little bit to accommodate the fact that I'm getting home a bit later and … [Read more...]
