Meal planning is probably the single biggest change I made when I started out on my frugal journey and it's something that I continue to do (almost) every week. I didn't do too well at sticking to last weeks meal plan I'm afraid.... Winter's really setting in now isn't it? It's so cold here tonight so this week's meal plan is filled with lots of Winter warmers ;-) Monday - Smoked mackerel risotto. Guess what? After more than two months of being ill and four (possibly 5) courses of antibiotics and steroids, I think I actually feel better! I went to the supermarket this afternoon with my little shopping list having planned our meals for this coming week but when I saw the overflowing reduced section I had a complete rethink and changed my plan completely based on the bargains I got.
