1) After the success I had with dying my eyelashes at home I thought I'd try waxing my eyebrows myself with a kit from Boots that cost me £2.69 . They're weren't as sticky as I expected and it took me the whole pack to get my eyebrows looking like I wanted them to as I had to keep re-doing bits but I did manage to get them done using the pack and it was a lot easier than I expected so I would get them again in future. You can find them in the section with the make up brushes and fake nails if you want to have a try yourself. They're far from HD quality but to be fair they cost so much … [Read more...]
How your friends and family can help when you’re saving money….
Over the last few months I've been trying to share some guest posts from my favourite frugal and thrifty Bloggers and today I have a great post from the lovely Hannah from FeastStyleThrive.com for you.Saving money can be tough. Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {21st April 2017}….

I simply wrapped some washi tape around the metal container of some tealights I had to add some extra sparkle to them and they look brilliant.I used some of the maxi tealights that we got from Morrisons last year after we had a couple of powercuts in the space of a week so I had to go round the tealight twice with the washi tape but if you're … [Read more...]
The cheapest way I found to use my phone abroad….
Remember me telling you that I'd switched our phones to a pay as you go plan which was so much cheaper than we were previously paying? Did I also tell you that even though we got so much more data than we had before for less money, the 8GB of data we get can only be used in the UK? If we want to use our phone abroad then we can have 500GB a day for something like £5.00.That doesn't seem like a huge amount of data when you consider that I use Facetime to keep in touch with home and do plenty of Instagramming and Googling for directions and things nearby to do and see. Anything over the … [Read more...]
Live well, spend less….
I'm sure you'll all be busy having lots of family fun today but I wanted to quickly let you know that I've just set up a Facebook group for those of us who want to live well but spend less.I love blogging and that's not going to stop at all (in fact, I have lots of plans for this next few months) but sometimes I come across a great deal online or I have a great quick tip or idea to share and a blog isn't always the best place to get that message out there. With the Facebook group, I can quickly post from my phone wherever I am so I'm really excited about this new way to share things with … [Read more...]
