1) I've become a little bit washi tape obsessed this last month or so and I've shared a few washi tape creations (including our washi tape manicure and a DIY savings jar with washi tape embellishments) but this week I did something super simple. I simply wrapped some washi tape around the metal container of some tealights I had to add some extra sparkle to them and they look brilliant.I used some of the maxi tealights that we got from Morrisons last year after we had a couple of powercuts in the space of a week so I had to go round the tealight twice with the washi tape but if you're … [Read more...]
The cheapest way I found to use my phone abroad….
Remember me telling you that I'd switched our phones to a pay as you go plan which was so much cheaper than we were previously paying? Did I also tell you that even though we got so much more data than we had before for less money, the 8GB of data we get can only be used in the UK? If we want to use our phone abroad then we can have 500GB a day for something like £5.00.That doesn't seem like a huge amount of data when you consider that I use Facetime to keep in touch with home and do plenty of Instagramming and Googling for directions and things nearby to do and see. Anything over the … [Read more...]
Live well, spend less….
I'm sure you'll all be busy having lots of family fun today but I wanted to quickly let you know that I've just set up a Facebook group for those of us who want to live well but spend less.I love blogging and that's not going to stop at all (in fact, I have lots of plans for this next few months) but sometimes I come across a great deal online or I have a great quick tip or idea to share and a blog isn't always the best place to get that message out there. With the Facebook group, I can quickly post from my phone wherever I am so I'm really excited about this new way to share things with … [Read more...]

Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {7th April 2017}….
By the time you read this I'll be in New York with Miss Frugal enjoying (hopefully) our long awaited holiday so it's probably not going to come as a huge surprise that today's post is New York themed with each of my five frugal things having something to do with our trip.1) First up we have toiletries! Miss Frugal wanted to go and buy some of the cute little travel sized bottles of everything from deodorant to hair spray and from shampoo to toothpaste but they seemed very expensive compared to their larger sized versions. To give you an idea of what I mean, Sure deodorant is £1.20 for a … [Read more...]
DIY Freezer Smoothie Packs {And six of our favourite Smoothie Recipes}….
Last week I briefly shared my DIY freezer smoothie packs in my 5 Frugal Things post but I wanted to tell you a bit more about the smoothie packs today because I've seen similar things popping up in shops more and more lately and mine are a LOT cheaper! We all have smoothies regularly, especially for breakfast when we're in a rush, but fresh fruit definitely makes them an expensive option if we're not organised with our little smoothie packs which we make in bulk every now and again. We make our packs using reduced fruit from the supermarket, frozen fruit and fruit from our fruit bowl … [Read more...]
