Miss Frugal really wanted to go to a Firework display last night but the one in our town wasn't on this year and the only ones we knew about in nearby towns are notorious for the gridlocked traffic getting out of the areas afterwards. Who needs a Scanner when you have a phone…
Last week I had to scan some receipts so I could claim back some expenses so off I headed to the garage (our printer/scanner is in the garage as I like it tidy and out of the way) but it wouldn't turn on for some reason which wasn't particularly convenient as I was already late sending the receipts off.I poked the scanner a bit, turned it on and off and did what anyone with my level of technical knowledge would do - I sighed dramatically and stormed back into the house!I then had a bit of a whinge on Facebook (as you do) and someone suggested that I just download a scanning app!Why … [Read more...]

Could you live without TV?
In the past I've always said that Sky TV was something that we would happily pay for - it was our little luxury and we were OK with it seeing as we don't drink, smoke or go out very much!I can't remember exactly how much we used to pay for our Sky package but I think it used to be around £70 a month for the full package including the movies and the sports.
