I can't tell you the number of times that I've written my big Christmas shopping list and left off something essential that's meant an extra trip out back to the shop! This is a handy reminder of those often forgotten things that are essential to your Christmas wellbeing. 😂 Before you read on though... If you're reading this after you've locked the door and closed the curtains on Christmas Eve then back away slowly and DO NOT READ. Let's just hope you have everything and keep our fingers crossed that no one will notice what you don't have.Honestly, one trip to the supermarket is … [Read more...]
Baileys Banana Bread….
Baileys Banana Bread!I'm just going to leave that there with no further introduction. Honestly, why have I never thought of adding Baileys to Banana Bread? It's genuinely the best banana bread I've ever made so obviously, I thought I'd share it with you all today - you can just consider it an early Christmas present from me. Just thank me later. 😂I often freeze my banana bread (it lasts up to three months) and it tastes even better when it's defrosted in my opinion. Most of the Google search results will tell you to wrap in foil or cling film but I use … [Read more...]

Roll a gingerbread man family game….
This super cute little roll a gingerbread game is going to give you and your family lots of fun over Christmas this year. 😁I'm all about spending time with the kids at Christmas so I'm always on the lookout for fun things for us to do together and this roll a gingerbread family game is fun, quick to play, and cute enough that even my teenagers will play it with me although it's definitely better suited to younger kids if you ask me!I used to play a similar game to this when I was little where you had to make a beetle rather than a gingerbread man by rolling a dice. In fact, … [Read more...]
British Gas HomeCare Cover – my experience….
British Gas HomeCare has saved me from potential frostbite twice now so I thought I'd tell you a little bit about why I love them but.... Before I start, I am NOT working with British Gas at all on this post (although I have just added in my refer a friend link just in case you do decide to sign up with them). 😇I pay for my British Gas HomeCare cover myself and have done now for a good few years - in fact, I first wrote about them in 2015 when they saved Christmas for us after we woke up on Christmas morning to find we had no heating. They saved me again a couple … [Read more...]
Christmas in New York – Insta vs Reality….
The year before last, I spent the week before Christmas in New York with Miss Frugal and had the best time! The reality was a bit different from the dream though so I thought I'd share the reality behind some of my photos. From the day I booked our Christmas in New York break everyone I told was been super jealous, telling me how much they'd love to visit New York at Christmas time and how magical it was going to be. I researched, I planned and I got so excited about it that I genuinely was like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa to visit! We knew it was going to be … [Read more...]
