I know that it's irrational but sometimes I do feel guilty when I have to work through the school holidays. I actually have a great job that I do enjoy and I'm very lucky in that I can drop the kids off at breakfast club in the morning and be finished in time to collect them from school at 3pm so during term time, I'm happy. School holidays are different though because I often feel like they're missing out because I'm working. This means that I tend to come home at 3pm and try and fit a whole day's worth of activities in to the space of a few hours! Even when I … [Read more...]
Girls Only Night – Quick and Easy Non Alocoholic Mojito mocktail recipe….
It's no secret that my favourite cocktail is a Mojito and Miss Frugal is following in my footsteps as her favourite drink is a Mockito which is the non alcoholic version of a Mojito so when we decided to banish the boys and have a Girls only night, we knew what we'd be drinking! To make our version of a Mockito, we just chop us some fresh mint and put it into the bottom of a tall glass. The swimming award that never was….
Master Frugal loves going swimming but no matter what we do to help him learn to swim properly it just doesn't seem to click and he really doesn't want to go to swimming lessons - we went a couple of times and he hated every minute as he says he felt like everyone was watching him!He can swim underwater really well and has mastered the perfect handstand and underwater somersaults - it's just the actual swimming part that he struggles with.Anyway, this week he's been doing an intensive swimming course with his school which involves him going swimming every afternoon for two weeks and … [Read more...]
