As a parent, I want my children to grow up knowing that violence in any form is not a solution to anything.I try to teach them that if someone hurts them, it doesn't make it acceptable to hurt them back - they should be the better person and walk away. A Working Mum’s Guilt….
I know that I shouldn't be feeling guilty right now.I have to work to pay the bills and if I didn't then we wouldn't be able to live in a nice house with nice things.But I do feel guilty - I feel guilty that the children don't know whether they're coming or going as I'm having to rely on different friends and family to look after them every day. I feel guilty that I have to go to work and leave them with other people when it's me who should be spending time with them. Over the last few years, I've read a lot of articles about what do do with a fussy eater to encourage them to try new things, all of them offering advice on how to make your fussy eater less of a fussy eater. I’m having a moment….
Only one more day left and then another school year will be over.Miss Frugal is going up into Year 5 and Master Frugal is going to be moving up to the dizzy heights of Year 3 where apparently you get to play in the big playground 'away from those little kids'.Funnily enough though, it's not the knowledge that they're both moving up a year at school that's made me feel a little bit sad tonight.
