Make a Handy Tree….
We have just spent the last hour or so drawing round our hands on green paper and cutting out the shapes. Why? So we could make a hand print Christmas tree of course!All you do, when you have cut out about 3 million hand prints, is glue them to a piece of card in the shape of a Christmas tree. Meet Pattie….
When it started to snow last night we decided to go out and play - even though it was cold and dark and the kids were already in their pyjama's! After all, its not very often that it snows like that and usually when it does, either the kids are at school or I'm at work.When everyone was dressed in about 6 layers of clothes we ventured out (well, I say everyone but Mr Frugal decided to join in the fun by standing in the warm and watching out of the window). Rose Wine Cocktails….
I love Rose wine and I have just seen a recipe for a Rose wine cocktail on one of Rachel Allen's TV shows and it sounds absolutely gorgeous....Chop up 1 nectarine (or apparently you could use raspberries or strawberries) and add the juice of half a lime.Add 2 teaspoons of sugar and blend together.Pour into a jug and top up with chilled Rose wine.Stir it together and voila... Salt Dough Decorations….
After watching Kirsty's homemade Christmas last week i felt inspired to make some salt dough decorations of our own. Now before we started I had my usual Domestic Goddess visions where I pictured our decorations as stunning works of art! As usual with my visions - the results were nothing like I hoped but we had fun making them so it was well worth it.The dough mix is so simple. All you do is mix half a cup of salt and a whole cup of flour and then slowly add one whole cup of water to the mix.
