I thought long and hard about whether to post this because I know some of you will be shaking your head right now and thinking how bad it is that my teenage daughter has two designer handbags. I bet lots of you will have your finger hovering over the cross on the right hand side of the page ready to move on to something that really is frugal rather than this 'waste of money' and that's OK.But I'd rather you stayed to listen to why I'm proud and why it really isn't a bad thing.((This post may contain affiliate links - I'm just putting it out there so you know. Beautiful Motivational Quote Wall Art {Free Printable}….
I've been busy this morning making pretty things (AKA some lovely Motivational Quote Wall Art) and as a thank you to all you lovely readers, I thought I'd share what I've been up to with you so you can have some pretty too.I got so many messages about how much you all liked the 'Throw Kindness Like confetti' quote wall art that I made for Miss Frugal's wall that I thought I'd make some motivational quote wall art for you too. Have you ever wondered where that person in front of you in the supermarket queue got all of the discount coupons and vouchers from?I always used to wonder where I could find all of these amazing money off coupons and vouchers so a while ago, I decided to find out....Ashleigh Moneysaver has a great section on her site which is pretty much jam packed with money off coupons and discount vouchers. Some new additions to my wardrobe….
Honestly, I feel like I've had the craziest few months with everything that's been going on here! Between the Summer Holidays, work and all my Dad drama I genuinely haven't had chance to breathe since the middle of June which is when my Dad took a turn for the worse. With him being settled in his new home and the kids back at school, I'm hoping that a little bit of normality is going to return to our lives. As welcome as that would be though, it does mean that I now have a to-do list longer than the Great Wall of China to get through.Today's post has been at the top of my to-do list for … [Read more...]
The Great Frugal Bake Off – Me Vs Betty Crocker….
Totally unrelated to the Great British Bake Off, which returned to TV this week, Miss Frugal challenged me to a bit of a bake of of our own when she said that the cookies she made at her friends using a Betty Crocker packet mix were better than my homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe!I couldn't have her thinking that a packet mix was better than cooking something from scratch could I?So while she spent about two minutes making up the packet mix we bought (for the purposes of the experiment ha ha), I dug out my trusty homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe and made my own … [Read more...]
