Perhaps your children have left home, and you feel you can offer a safe, secure home to a child. Maybe you have a spare bedroom, or your lifestyle has changed, leaving you with more time. You could even have been inspired by foster carers you know or have seen in the media. However, you will probably have questions about the process of becoming a foster carer. Here’s what you need to know...How to Get Started If you want to know how to become a foster parent, the first step is to contact the local authority or a fostering agency. There is no commitment at this point, it is purely … [Read more...]
Happy New Year….
Oh dear!I think it's been around three months since I last posted on here or even over on Instagram and as much as I did miss my little online community, I really needed the time away to help me to refocus and to concentrate on a bit of life admin including lots of time spent on me.It's been longer than three months since I actually enjoyed blogging though as my life dramas last year and a super nasty comment on here really threw me - more than they should have done if I'm honest but it is what it is at this point and I've genuinely felt ready to open my laptop again for the last … [Read more...]
Little Joys at Christmas….
This post is in conjunction with Boots UK but all thoughts are my ownHonestly, the phrase 'cost of living crisis' really is my most hated phrase right now. I hate that so many families across the UK are struggling with life's essentials like heating their house and putting food on their table and fuel in their cars, let alone being able to afford the nice-to-have things in life. It's really influenced the way that I've approached Christmas this year as I'm sure it has many of you and this year, there won't be a pile of presents on the floor when the kids come downstairs on Christmas … [Read more...]

Review: The Deep, Hull….
Check me out getting out and about to all these new places - last week you got a Beamish Open Air Museum review and this week you're getting a cheeky review of The Deep in Hull. 😂Before I tell you about The Deep itself, I thought I'd just let you know that I used my Tesco Clubcard Vouchers to pay for our entry which was a bit more complicated than it usually is when redeeming vouchers. The actual buying of the vouchers was just as simple as it always is, just choose The Deep on the Tesco Rewards site and redeem however many Tesco Clubcard vouchers you want to redeem to pay … [Read more...]
Making Christmas Memories….
I heard Master Frugal last night talking to one of his friends about Christmas in our house and it really made me smile. He was telling them about some of his favourite Christmas presents from over the years! Some of the memories he has of his favourite presents surprised me a little bit though...I know how lucky my two have been over the years and when blogging was at its peak I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed at times with the number of presents we were able to give them thanks to the generosity of brands who sent us gifts either to review or lots of times to say thank you for … [Read more...]
