Before I got my Kindle, I used to love nothing more than wandering around the local charity shops looking for new (to me) books to read. I'd read them and then hang on to the books I loved because I would often re-read favourite books. Packing for a long weekend away in sun is never easy but packing with a teenage girl takes it to a whole new level.  Seriously, every time I look in the two bags we've put to one side for our packing, there's something else in there that I need to take out!Here's a few of the things we've argued about debated so far.... 1. A pillow Yes, an actual pillow has been taken out and put back in it's rightful place on her bed. 2. A blanket Taking up half the bag was a blanket which again, is now back on her bed! 3. A couple of week's ago I read a post on one of the frugal living forums where a woman shared something that she thought was a bit of a frugal win.  She used to shop at one of the big supermarkets but this particular week she had less money than usual (she used the words 'a bit skint') so she'd decided to pop to her local Aldi to do her shopping.She went on to proudly post a picture of her shopping trolley to show just how much shopping she'd managed to get in Aldi for about the same amount of money as she would usually have spent in her usual shop.Now I looked at her photo and thought … [Read more...]
