Despite the fact that it's not exactly picnic weather outside, Miss Frugal has decided to have a teddy bears picnic in the back garden. She's out there with her favourite teddy bears and some chocolate spread sandwiches trying to look like she's not freezing cold. I think she's trying to catch the attention of the little girl who lives out the back of us but she's having no luck so far bless her.My sensible little boy has decided to have his picnic indoors as apparently his teddies wanted to watch Ben 10 they ate their sandwiches. … [Read more...]
Isn’t Good Friday Supposed to be a Good Day….
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. Why does this always happen on Bank Holidays - I look forward to them and the kids wake up in a grouchy mood that lasts all day! They have taken it in turns to be pains in the arse naughty all day.Mr Frugal was on nights last night so he slept till about one. We played speed stacking for a while, played on the Wii and watched the Monsters Vs Aliens film (yes, again!) and generally argued our way through the morning. As soon as he got up we went to the beach to play with the nerf thing that Master Frugal got for his birthday last week. What's a nerf you might say - … [Read more...]
Story cards….
After the fun we had making and playing our Razzle Dazzle board game we decided to try our hand at another game tonight. Next we cut some images off the front of my birthday cards from last week, things like a butterfly, a sheep, a pig, some flowers and a loveheart and then glued an image on to each piece of card.We didn't have enough pictures for all of our cards so … [Read more...]
Bored, Bored, Board….
Miss Frugal was in one of those bored moods this afternoon after she came back from her friends house. You know the type of mood, where you can't be bothered to do anything. I know it's not exactly Summer yet but after the cold, dark winter we've had the I'm going to make the most of what we have got!We made pineapple ice lollies first using two tins of value pineapple chunks (13p each) and some lemonade.Master Frugal helped me to blend the pineapple chucks, saving a few for later. Then we poured the blended mix into a jug, topped up to a pint with lemonade and added the last of the pineapple chunks. We poured the mix into our ice lolly holders and put them in … [Read more...]
A Photo Collage….
Exactly a year yesterday we were in Disneyland Paris. It was an absolutely perfect trip, there were no tears, tantrums or moods the whole time we were there and we all have fantastic memories from the five days we were there.Last night we decided to pop to Asda with our magic USB stick and print out loads of the photos we took during our trip. We then came up and cut them all up! The kids made a little photo collage each of the best bits of the holiday and I think they turned out really well....This is Master Frugal's with all his favourite pics.... And this one is Miss … [Read more...]
