Chocolate Peanut Butter Bread…

This yummy show-stopping chocolate peanut butter bread is easy to make and tastes AMAZING! It’s going to be your go-to domestic goddess recipe from the first time you make it!

You know I love a good super easy recipe, right?

Well, this recipe for chocolate peanut butter bread* is genuinely one of the easiest recipes I know yet it tastes and looks like it takes so much more effort than it does to make. I’ve made it three times recently and been asked for the recipe at least twice every time which rarely happens with my baking adventures. 😂

I took one along to a little garden sofa catch up at my friend’s house last week and it went down fantastic with our Baileys hot chocolate which replaced wine at the last minute as it was absolutely freezing outside at the time! 

*It’s honestly more of a cake than a bread but I cook it in a loaf tin rather than a cake tin so I feel like it’s not too big a stretch to call it bread. 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bread...

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

• 180g plain flour
• 100g sugar
• 2 tsp of baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 50g cocoa powder
• 250ml milk
• 1 egg
• 120g peanut butter, plus 1 tbsp for drizzle
• 60ml vegetable oil

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder and mix well.
2. In a separate bowl whisk together milk, egg, peanut butter, and vegetable oil until smooth.
3. Slowly combine wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and combine until batter forms.
4. Pour the mix into a greased loaf pan - if you have some, line the base of the pan with some baking parchment.
5. Bake at 180 c for about 28-30 minutes until centre is cooked until a toothpick or knife comes out clean.
6. Let the loaf cool for at least 10 minutes before taking it out of pan.
7. {Optional} Microwave 1 tbsp peanut butter until melted and drizzle over loaf.
8. Let the loaf cool completely before serving.
