I am not a naturally organised person and in the past I’ve missed important events because I’ve either completely forgotten about them or I’ve simply left it too late to make the necessary arrangements for me to be there.
Aside from July (which is always chaos with the end of the school year), Christmas is probably the most chaotic time of the year for us as a family and as a working Mum, I really need to plan ahead in order to make sure that I don’t forget anything!
For the last few years, I’ve spent five minutes making myself a little printable Christmas planner for me to stick on the fridge door to remind me of all of the important dates and since I’ve been doing it, I’ve not had any last minute panics or any missed events. I’ve just made this year’s Christmas planner and as I was printing it out, I thought I’d share it with you all in case it helps you keep on top of things a little easier.
As far as a Christmas planner goes, this one is pretty basic but it has all of the main things on there that I struggle to remember and a little box for me to write in anything else like the raffle prizes of homemade cakes that the kids need for school. You know the kind of things, where they’ll tell you about something three weeks before that they’re going to need it and then it goes out of everyone’s mind until they remind you the night before at about 9pm, prompting a frenzy or baking or a trip to the shops. 😉
Mine is stuck to the side of my fridge with the dates I already know written on it so there is no excuse for me forgetting a single thing this Christmas.
