I haven’t shared a weekly meal plan on here for ages now, have I?
I started posting them over on my meal planning blog each week but even that kind of gradually dropped off as life got too busy over the last few months to do anything but quickly scribble my plans on the back of an envelope in the 10 minutes before we went shopping.
That ‘method’ of meal planning, although better than not meal planning at all, isn’t great for us as I tend to stick to the same few meals when I do it that way simply because I know they’re easy to shop for and easy to cook. This means we get bored with what we’re eating and it’s more likely that we’ll want to swap about at the last minute meaning that more often than not, an extra trip to the shop is needed.
So, my focus for this month is going to be taking the time to meal plan more interesting meals whilst spending as little money as possible. I’ve written this week’s meal plan this morning and have a shopping list at the ready for this evening’s shopping planned shopping trip so I’m starting the month off well.
Here’s what I have planned….
Here’s a link to some of the recipes I’ll be using this week:
- Sweet potato fries.
- Mac and cheese.
- Mince and dumplings
- Homemade flatbreads.
- Pizza dough.
- Slow cooker gammon.
How are you doing with your meal planning lately?
