Did you see my last ‘Facebook MADE me buy it‘ post?
Basically, I realised a little while ago that I’m like an advertisers dream right now as I’ve bought things recently that I may not have even known existed if it hadn’t been for Facebook and it’s advertising algorithms that somehow know what I want before I even know myself.
Last month’s post included Snag tights, a cute ring, a food flask, a subscription to Hello Fresh and a t-shirt and the day after I shared the post, my postman brought me the first thing from this month’s post so I started a list of things ready to include in the next instalment.
(To be clear: none of these are sponsored or gifted, they’re all things that have genuinely appeared in my Newsfeed – usually numerous times before I give in!)
Tights from Snag Tights.. Again
I wear tights most days now, even when I’m working from home because I’m so comfortable in them and most of my wardrobe is made up of dresses these days so this month I bought another pair of footless tights which are just like the comfiest leggings you’ve ever worn and then a pair of berry red tights ready for Winter and for some random reason I bought a cheeky pair of fishnet tights in case I ever actually leave the house again for a night out.
My thinking is that they’ll transform some of the dresses I already have and make them more ‘going out’ friendly although let’s be honest, going out isn’t going to be an option for a good while is it?
T-shirt from The Spark Company
This one appears in my newsfeed at least once a day although the T-Shirt slogan changes daily! They seem to be a fab little company for T-Shirts with a message and I love a lot of their products but I’m not really one for slogan tees so I usually do just scroll on by. This one caught my eye even more than the others though…
It’s great quality and wasn’t hugely expensive at £19.00 so I’m actually pretty pleased with this one!
Earrings from The Beautiful Earth
I have no idea what was going on in my mind when I ordered these ones but all I can say is I had a week where I was super poorly, couldn’t speak and spent most of the week in bed dosed up on Lemsip and all manner of cold and flu tablets. I couldn’t sleep at all as my cough was so bad that I was sick from coughing so I was exhausted and poorly and for some reason I thought doing some online shopping was the right thing to do.
I feel like I’ve set the scene enough to explain what possessed me so let’s move on to the actual purchase…
They’re beautiful, hey?
Not really my style at all though and if I’m honest, I forgot I’d even ordered them until they turned up three weeks later! I feel like I might wear them one day though and they weren’t ridiculously expensive at £12.95 so I’m not devastated but I won’t be shopping when I’m not well again.
New Cardigan from M&S
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this cardigan and have worn it so much since I bought it so even at £35 it feels like an absolute bargain. I bought the cream colour but the detailing shows up much better in the photos of the sunshine colour.
Honestly, it’s super warm and probably my most worn item of clothing for the last month. I’m super tempted to go and get the yellow one too!
