Easy chocolate brownie recipe!

This super easy chocolate brownie recipe has never let me down! Every time I make it, it turns out soft squidgy and fudgy – everything you want from a chocolate brownie recipe!

Chocolate brownies are one of those foods that, if made well, can make you look like a Domestic Goddess. A perfect chocolate brownie will melt in your mouth and make you want to come back for another one and because I’m so nice, I thought I’d share with you my perfect chocolate brownie recipe.

Ingredients

• 225g butter
• 100g cocoa powder
• 4 large eggs
• 450g sugar
• 1 capful vanilla extract
• 150g self-raising flour
• A sprinkling of chilli powder

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 180 c.
2. Grease the baking tray you're going to use - a rectangular tray is best for brownies but I've used circular cake tins before.
3. Melt the butter in a pan (or the microwave if you like to cut corners - like me) and then stir in the cocoa powder.
4. Set aside while you make the rest of the recipe. TOP TIP - Do not dip your fingers in the bowl at this point, it is not as yummy as it looks yet!
5. Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla together until they are pale and foamy (or until your arm starts to hurt).
6. Stir in the cocoa mixture, chilli powder and the flour and give it a good mix together until it's all combined.
7. Pour into your baking tin and bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until the top is firm and the inside is still squidgy.
