Five reasons why I love being a Mum….

I could sit here all day and tell you why I love being a Mum but I still wouldn’t be able to tell you them all because there really are that many. As it’s Mothers Day today though, I thought I’d share just a few of the reasons why I love being a Mum….

The unconditional love

When your children are willing to give up their Christmas presents to make you feel better.

Cake, cake and more cake

There's always an excuse to make and eat cake.

There always seems to be an excuse to make and eat cake – Birthdays, cake sales, weekends, any days ending in Day

The ‘obligation’ to go to concerts to see your their hearthrobs.

In the last year alone we’ve seen One Direction, Olly Murs, James Arthur, Little Mix, Union J, Example and met District 3 – strictly at Miss Frugal’s request obviously.

An excuse not to go on rollercoasters

What? Someone needs to hold the coats you know!

Seeing places through their eyes

Last year we didn’t have a proper holiday as we chose to go away on lots of smaller trips and it was great to discover so many new places together!

I like your blog but am at a loss to see how seeing 7 bands in concert is frugal.

Ha ha that's a good point - I should have said most were at one concert that we were given tickets for, another group was playing at a theme park we were visiting and one was a Christmas present x x x

What a lovely post, I am with you on new places through their eyes, that train ticket immediately had me thinking of the time I went to Bognor Regis and an amazing holiday I had as a kid in Lyme Regis. I love sharing the stuff I loved as a kid with my kids - being a kid all over again!

Lovely post. I got told yesterday that I was better than Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson & Rupert Grint which did make me smile. Jacob also shared his cold with me.
My favourite thing is his little hand holding mine whenever we go anywhere - always my left hand though!
