It’s not exactly a secret that I’m not the most crafty of bloggers but I do like to try and be as creative as often as I can- not always with the best results though! Today I’m going to share some of my most spectacular Pinterest fails….
I love Pinterest and get a lot of my inspiration from things that I see on there but the problem is, not being very creative and not wanting to spend money on extra materials means that often, I try and re-create something I’ve seen on Pinterest my own way. Sometimes this works well for me but others, not so much.
Here’s a few of the times when it didn’t work out well!
Nail Varnish Art Pinterest Fail
The first one is probably the worst of my Pinterest fails because we took something that was supposed to be super-easy and made something so bad!
Miss Frugal told me about this one and after watching a couple of videos, we decided to give it a go ourselves. Unfortunately, our results look nothing like the thousands of similar projects on Pinterest which really makes me wonder how everyone manages something seemingly simple whereas we just make a huge mess!
Stress Balls Pinterest Fail
This is one that Master Frugal suggested last Christmas and although it was a bit of a disaster, I don’t think we’ve ever laughed as much crafting together so it was a success overall. At one point our stress ball was looking a bit rude but we pulled it back and made what looked like two passable attempts – until you squeezed them and they leaked talc everywhere!
Gummy Bear Pinterest Fail
You’d think I could do gummy bears after the success of my pink prosecco ones a while ago but this attempt involved using Jello-0 which we bought in France and although it smelled amazing and tasted gorgeous, there was no way this was ever going to set! Our poor little gummy bears ended up as a giant Jell-o puddle.
Breadmaking Pinterest Fail
My attempt at making cheese and sun-dried tomato bread resulted in something that looked nothing like it did in the photos on Pinterest although I do acknowledge that this could be because I changed the measurements a teeny bit, used a different type of cheese and added double the sun-dried tomatoes as I had some to use up.
