I’m a huge fan of cash envelopes.
They’re without a doubt the best way to focus your mind on what you’re spending on what and how much money you have left in your budget.
I’ll hold my hands up and admit that I don’t use them every week, I only use them when I feel like we need a bit of a reminder about our spending habits or when we’re on a tight budget for whatever reason.
This week for example, we’re conscious that we have a holiday coming up soon and we’re really trying to spend as little as possible and the best way to do that for us is to use our cash envelopes system.
I wrote a post here about how we use our cash envelopes so I won’t go into that too much here but have a read of my earlier post to see how we use them to help our budgeting.
I realised this week that my old cash envelopes were looking a bit tatty so I decided to do a bit of a colourful template to use. My template went very wrong and looked as though a six-year-old had been let loose on my laptop but luckily, my much more talented friend stepped in and made me a template so awesome that I had to share it with you!
Look how pretty it is!
You just need to cut it out, fold along the dotted lines and use a bit of glue or sellotape to secure the flaps on the side and voila, you have an envelope to pop your cash in!
