I’m really starting to feel festive now (it helps that my wrapping is now all done) although the fact that poor Master Frugal’s still suffering from his bad cough means that we’re not doing as much as we usually would be at this time of year. Yesterday we were supposed to be going to a lovely local Christmas craft fayre but seeing as he’s still coughing every time we go outside in the cold we decided to stay in and have a pyjama craft and movie day with a bit of baking thrown in for good measure.
I’m glad we did decide to stay at home actually because we had a really nice day together – we made some new decorations for the tree, bakes cakes for Miss Frugal’s school party tomorrow afternoon and painted cards for their favourite teachers at school….
The tree ornaments were really easy to make….
They’re just three lolly sticks, glued together in a triangle with some ribbon glued on to the top and some sparkly bits glued around it randomly. They were really easy, took about five minutes to make from start to finish and they look great on the tree!
The cards are just as easy to make, the first one’s were Christmas trees made from Master Frugal’s hand prints (for a much larger family version – have a look at Jen’s post here)….
The next cards we made were Santa’s made from Miss Frugal’s handprint – we used silver as we had no white but white would have been loads better I think.
We even made some bright pipe cleaner decorations just by twisting some together and tying on a little bit of ribbon….
Have you done any Christmas crafting yet? If you have, leave your link in the comments if you have as I’d love some more ideas for the next week 😉
